Gemini Junior
Go Comedy’s 15th Launch Group
Gemini Junior is the 2022-2023 launch group at go comedy! They do a montage of fun and everyone will be delighted by Their disco-like energy!
Q: What was the group dynamic like?
Gemini Junior is a group of 9 friends... and that was my goal. I knew I wanted a big group and I wanted them to all have a friend group that would last longer than the one year run. I wanted these nine to hangout outside of the rehearsal space, share life events and perform together forever haha! So far, it is all happening! the dynamic is truly wonderful, watching them grow over the year and some months process was magic. Each individual member brings something special and they all compliment each other. It didn't take long to watch them and realize it had been like they've played together for years already. This group of people is very special to me, and I am so lucky that they were my laugh group. Now let's go share some mozzarella sticks and don't let Daniel tell you otherwise....they're his favorite.
Q: What form did the group consistently use?
We went through a couple forms, with opening sequences etc. With he help of the group we mainly did something called the Flock. They get a suggestion then split in half and go to the outer most corners of the stage and strike a pose then one by one speak as if they’re all at the same event, room, etc saying one liners or sentences related to the suggestion. going back and forth about 5-6 times then they break off to the sides and begin a montage with callbacks and time lines using the flock as inspiration. That was just one, we have morphed the flock to other renditions and made up new forms as we continue to rehearse on a monthly basis.
Q: What sets this group apart from the others?
haha, we are the group that hangouts, always eats dinner and has never had a fight. we are all truly great friends. *we are not a cult.

Before joining Gemini Junior, I had finished all of my classes at Go Comedy intro, one through four and advance one through four. Unfortunately, unfortunately, there was a pandemic in between me graduating the Go Program. The launch group was the first audition that I made a call back for and then was casted on. I was very active as far as seeing shows as an audience. Member and participating in goes open Improv jam fresh sauce..
Q: What is a standout memory you have about your time in the Launch Group?
Being on Gemini Junior is one of the best experiences of my life. It’s not just a troupe to me. It’s my family. I knew that I would have a good time being on lunch, but I had no idea. I would meet some of my best friends and my family. From Sunday rehearsals to Sunday dinners to Sunday performances and everything in between it’s more than I could’ve ever hoped for. There is not one memory that sticks out because all of them are special.

Launch Group’s Coach
Growing up, at the dance studio I danced at I was introduced to improv around 2007. GAME OVER I WAS HOOKED. I took Go Comedy classes in 2011. During the intro/advanced program at Go, I traveled and completed the Second City Chicago Conservatory Program. I would Megabus once a week for class. I also completed the Intro and Intermediate classes at the Planet Ant. After Classes I auditioned for Launch Group and was cast in the 2016/2017 launch group called HugSquared coached by Gary. During that time I became a resident company understudy and then was cast in Resco. I am a teacher here at the theater and truly call this place a second home.I got to perform at Carolines on Broadway with my BFF in 2016. I was apart of the first cast for ComedySportz Detroit in 2015. I played with them for a few years. I was in The Planet Ant farm team from 2018-2019. Now I perform and host shows at Go Comedy, perform with my troupes around town and enjoy it all!
Since 2012 I have been performing in murder mystery theater. I now write and perform in a group with four of my dearest friends called Metro Mystery Shows. We perform weekly at Pronto in Royal Oak, monthly at Go Comedy and then other spots and private shows around town. I am an Emcee with Turn it Up Dance Challenge. I grew up in the dance world so it is very cool to be on the other side, making those awards shows fun and FAST (haha if you know you know!) in 2022 I was asked to coach the 22-2023 launch group and they have been some of my favorite moments at Go Comedy. I love them so much and the troupe has given me some of my best friends.
