GoYouth!

Improv classes for high schools students are available now! They are $150 for 8 weeks. We will be adding more classes for kids and teens, as well as family friendly shows. Check back for more info or email goyouth@gocomedy.net to show your interest.

 

Improv for Teens 1

This is a great opportunity to learn Go Comedy’s improv philosophy, play some improv games and make new friends. This class is open to any student currently in 9-12 grade. All experience levels are welcome.

Kids Camp 3 - Kids entering grades 7-9............August 9 – August 13

Each camp is from 9am-3pm and costs $300. Camp shows will be at 3:30PM on the Friday of each camp. Each show will be filmed and one complimentary DVD will be available per child. Drinks and snacks will be provided every day. Lunch will only be provided on Friday.

Jen Hansen
Jen has been working professionally with children and young adults for over 10 years. She is a teacher in the West Bloomfield School District, and holds a B.A. in Education from Wayne State University. Jen is also a graduate of the Second City Training Center, and has written and performed in shows at Second City Novi, Go Comedy, Planet Ant Theater, and taught children's improv camp at Stagecrafters in Royal Oak. A member of Go Comedy's Resident Cast, Jen also performs in several local improv troupes, including Pillow Fight, winner of the 2009 Winter Colony Fest at Planet Ant Theater.

Suzie Jacokes
Suzie teaches at GoU: The Improv Academy and also has taught at The Second City Detroit for both children and adults. Suzie is a proud cast member of the Resident Company, Rock-O-Matic, and Date Night at Go Comedy! Her past Go Comedy! credits include Love, and Other Urban Legends and Miracle On Nine Mile Street, both of which she helped write. Suzie is also a former Mainstage Second City Detroit cast member and a current Planet Ant home team member. Suzie received a BFA in acting from Wayne State University, and absolutely adores teaching improv.
